Working with BAS and the incredibly knowledgeable team there has been a pleasure since day one. Simply put, BAS consistently delivers exceptional quality donor recognition signage that beautifully balances modern styles while maintaining our traditional roots. We’ve had the pleasure of partnering on many projects together, at both small and large scales. At any one time, we are working with their friendly and helpful team on numerous recognition projects that are in the planning, production and installation phase. BAS has the ability to use creativity and problem-solving skills when designing and installing unique recognition pieces, and also provide incredible accuracy and quick turnaround time. No project is too challenging for this team. In 2011, Baycrest Foundation partnered with BAS to create a new, extensive, and state of the art Hall of Honour. We continue to work with them every year, to update all the walls and recognition listings. From start to finish, 8 years later, it has always been a seamless process. BAS has also designed plaques for unusually shaped tree trunks in our atrium and created a complex plaque for our dental centre that features a multicoloured, Pop art-style mouth and individual plaques recognizing 60 donors. No matter how difficult or challenging the job, the BAS team approaches it with gusto, care, high quality materials, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
Our Foundation has been working with Deborah since 1999. The range of services that have been provided has been extensive. Rob, I want to thank you for your outstanding work on our donor recognition program at the new Niagara health system St. Catharines hospital. We get compliments daily on our donor wall. It is understated, powerful and most of all, flexible. I know our situation must have caused you some unique challenges. Even while we worked on the installation we were in the process of merging the Foundations that raise funds for NHS and fully expected to have a new identity in the near future. This complicated our situation considerably and I want to thank you for more than the work on the wall. Your counsel, as we worked our way through a recognition program serving donors from seven different foundations, was invaluable. Your depth of experience was evident in our deliberations and you earned the trust of all parties. Your company was the glue that held our process together and I want to express sincere gratitude on behalf of everyone involved.
The group worked with a large volunteer committee to develop the concept for our donor wall. They artfully incorporated various perspectives into the final design, demonstrating a respect for the volunteer’s viewpoints but with an eye on our objectives. They managed our project in two phases, over a span of a few years as we were moving into a new hospital. Budget figures met our limitations, but were realistic to account for changes that might be required once the new space was available. Our donor wall is a work of art that is enjoyed by donors, patients, staff and visitors to our hospital. I can see the wall from my office and there are always people stopping to look. At our recent donor wall unveiling, donors expressed their delight and gratitude at being recognized in such a thoughtful, comprehensive way. Based on the positive response we received, our development officers have now changed their regular tour so they could conclude at the donor wall. So impressed are donor prospects, they are now giving higher donations to the university just to be part of the donor wall. Now that’s the kind of return on investment that keeps on giving. One we hope will inspire others for years to come.
We have been working with BAS for more than 15 years. Most recently we retained BAS to produce naming and recognition plaques and signage for our “Not an Ordinary Place Campaign”. Over the last two years Rob and his team played a significant role in helping us decide what style and design was most appropriate for our recognition program elements. BAS provided excellent customer service and was always accommodating with last minute changes.
