Fengate Real Asset Investments

With the purchase of six office towers located in Burlington and Oakville, Fengate Capital Management Ltd. sought a Design-Build partner to work with their team in the creation of a new branded and cohesive signage program; and going forward, to project manage and oversee the deployment including all fabrication, necessary permits and installation.

A successful brand signage and wayfinding program requires both conceptual design and design intent documentation phases of professional graphic and industrial design – this being the defining step toward the fabrication and installation of the overall program solution.

In response to this opportunity we completed a site study of their newly purchased buildings.

We took inspiration from the Architectural details and finishes that were common throughout all buildings and proposed a Master Plan/Study/Budget, a document that provided graphics (type styles, color, size, and materials of all elements in conjunction with readability standards), sizing, placement and critical details which would enable us to easily implement shop drawings, finalize details, facilitate the engineering requirements, and complete fabrication and installation.

We delivered a total brand signage and wayfinding program that met the client’s design and vision requirements. The cohesiveness of the overall signage design reflected Fengate’s Master Plan and its brand, while complimenting the physical environment of the properties. With planning, consideration and design vison, this signage program will be sustainable and remain appropriate to future building sites for years to come.
